Sustainable Leadership in the Cultural Sector2

FRIDAY 2 OCTOBER

How can we lead temporary work communities in a sustainable way?

  • Friday 2 October

How do you build strong teams when the people you work with are constantly changing? And how can we support well-being in a sector where the pace is fast and work communities are often temporary?

The cultural sector is driven by passion, creativity and collaboration. Behind concerts, festivals and cultural events are people working in dynamic, short-term teams made up of employees, freelancers, hourly workers and volunteers. But how do we lead sustainably when relationships are temporary and the focus is often on delivering the event?

In this session, we explore social sustainability, well-being and regenerative approaches to leadership in the cultural sector. Julia Hunt opens the session with insights from her book Eventledelse (Event Management), followed by a conversation with young professionals from the industry, who share their experiences of working life, leadership and the challenges they encounter.

Together, the panel explores how we can create a culture where people are seen as more than resources, and where care, development and community become integral parts of leadership.

Join us for an honest conversation about the future of leadership and gain inspiration for building stronger, healthier and more sustainable work communities.
