How can we make decisions today with future generations in mind? Through an interactive workshop, we will explore future-oriented policymaking and examine how the choices we make today can contribute to a better society for generations to come.
Drawing on the EU’s new Strategy on Intergenerational Fairness, futures researcher Erica Bol from the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) invites participants to explore how the future can be made more tangible, present, and easier to discuss.
The workshop is based on methods from futures studies and foresight and participants will have the opportunity to imagine possible futures, reflect on their implications, and discuss how today’s policies and decisions shape the lives of future generations.
Participants
- Erica Bol, Foresight Policy Analyst at the EU PolicyLab at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission
The session is presented by the coalition behind Fremtidskoalitionen (Roskilde Festival Gruppen, KR Foundation and Østifterne).
