How does space for new thinking look like today? Are research environments, educational institutions and public debate sufficiently open to new ideas and perspectives? And what happens when new ideas encounter resistance from established ways of thinking in academia and society?
In this panel discussion, researchers, writers and public commentators come together for a conversation about new thinking, resistance, hope and the power to act in a time of major societal change.
The conversation explores both what stands in the way of new perspectives and how we can create better conditions for ideas that challenge the status quo and open up new paths for the society of the future.
The debate also marks the launch of Fremtidskraft – a new partnership between the Queen Mary’s Centre at the University of Copenhagen, Hans Reitzels Forlag and Roskilde Festival Group. Through books, events and lectures, the partnership aims to create space for new perspectives and ideas about the society of the future.
