- Friday 2 October
Our professional and personal lives are becoming increasingly digitalized. We stream music instead of buying vinyl, communicate through short videos rather than conversations, and rely on robots to clean our floors instead of using our own effort. But do these conveniences truly outweigh the costs?
In this session, we explore the concept of digital sustainability and examine the intended and unintended, desired and undesired impacts of using data and technology. Drawing on recent research and case studies, we take a closer look at how digital technologies affect sustainability, how their potential can be translated into concrete action, and what it really means to use technology responsibly.
The lecture combines theory, case studies, and interactive elements, giving you space to reflect, share experiences, and uncover new possibilities for action in your field.
