Borrowed Time

FRIDAY 2 OCTOBER

A NATIONAL CONVERSATION ON THE RIGHT TO THE FUTURE

  • Friday 2 October

With BORROWED TIME, a number of members of the Future Coalition will create a national, youth-oriented and youth-driven event series across Denmark’s democratic gatherings. The series raises a central democratic question: How do we in Denmark take responsibility for the decisions that shape the lives of future generations?

Building on the UN’s Pact for the Future and the EU’s strategy for intergenerational justice, the conversations aim to strengthen young people’s voice, influence, and place in the democratic dialogue -among other things by incorporating future-oriented literature and visions developed by youth organizations.

The conversations will take place at events such as Folkemødet, Klimafolkemødet, Kulturmødet Mors, and Ungdommens Folkemøde. At GRASP in October, perspectives from these national conversations will be brought together in a concluding session and presented to decision-makers and politicians.
